i wouldnt start with creatine. I recommend jack3d as someone said earlier as a preworkout and myofusion as a post workout.

the best creatine ive used was the gaspari product, "size on" i think. people may flame because there are extra things in there but for me it worked well.

start with pre and post workout and then after using that for a while try out creatine.

How long you've been working out for?
your body shouldn't really plateau until you've been training for at least 2-3 years...

No explode! helps with post workout recovery. Im not saying that it will add mass, but it will add reps to your workout.

There isn't enough proof to call it dangerous or safe so it's your call in the end. Be aware of a greater rate of conversion from testoserone to DHT, this may be a topic of concern to some.

Also look into Beta Alanine - very safe and effective when used correctly.
Creatine is non-hormonal and there is no proof substantiating this claim.

Jack3D is creatine ---- You can definitely start with creatine --- it works great, has many benefits, and gives your strength a big boost which is what you need to build muscle.

Not necessarily. Your diet is #1.

I think if you're asking about supplements, you already know that diet is important --- that's why it's called a supplement.

forgot I made this thread. I completely stopped taking any supplements. Had a regular checkup/blood test and turned out my liver was leaking enzymes. My SGOT and SGPT were three times over the normal levels (liver cells in your blood). Stopped drinking protein shakes and creatine and it returned back to normal.

First hand experience that this shit fucks you up

I am sorry, but protein shakes and creatine have zero to no toxicity on your liver, very high doses of creatine could be hard on your kidneys but not your liver. There must have been other factors in your diet or weekend habits that drove your liver crazy.

But I am glad you are doing better BTW, I just wanted to clear the water in regard to creatine.

Not exactly true, people always looking for shortcuts.

On topic, I don't think the creatine messed with your liver... Had to be something else.

Jack3d isn't creatine, it's a preworkout supplement that has creatine in it, but not enough to really be beneficial for most. From their own website:

Quote:
We even recommend getting a bit extra creatine powder (2.5g more should do it for starters) either first thing in the morning, or immediately post-workout. Take it with 8oz of juice or simple sugars. The creatine in Jack3d is good, but not enough for most people.

I meant Jack3D has creatine in it --- meaning it is a creatine supplement.

Are you serious? Stop wasting your money on GNC supplements, creatine is great for short term watery muscle. train for 3-4 years then jump on the good stuff. trust me you'll never waste another penny on crappy powders from your local rip off sup store.

dont use creatine, its strictly water weight...and unless you drink plenty of water 1 gal + a day you can potentially get kidney stones, better just to go all natural, with creatine you will just platoe, best thing to do is to completly switch every workout you do, different excercises, and work different muscles then what you did before
