TPMS Warning not going off on one tire
I am getting the TPMS low tire warning on one of my tires, drivers front, but the tire is not low, actually a pound higher than the passenger side which isnt getting the warning. When i reset it in the menu, it comes right back on with a restart of the car. First thought is the battery is bad on that monitor, but it is reading and reporting the tire pressure correctly in the menu. Could it be anything else?

I ask because pressure naturally goes up as the tires warm up while driving, and you haven’t specified the conditions when you’re seeing the correct pressures on iDrive. So is it that when you check your pressures several miles into a drive that the values are correct, or is it that the values displayed for cold tires match the specification on the placard? |

I guess the 3rd reset was the charm. I reset it again last night and drove it quite a bit, 30+ miles, 3-4 starts and it never came back on. It is getting colder so maybe thats what it was. Sorry for the false alarm...
Fun fact i found out was then the TPMS alert is on, you cant switch drive modes. Sport, Comfort, etc. it was stuck in comfort which i guess makes sense if your tire really is low. thx |
