Car wraps
Do they last?
Are they expensive? Do they damage the og paint? Can they be placed over the carbon fiber? I bought a new emblem bc the og is faded af. Any suggestions for taking the old one off without damage? Tia! |

for the emblem, enter the following on youtube "replacing bmw emblem on hood"
cost of wrap varies quite a bit depending on which one you select. they general warrantee runs around 3 years but it depends on where you keep the car garaged or park outdoors it can be used to cover CF provided the paint is sound, it will not damage it (providing it is a reputable brand and installer. others might be able to give you pricing in your area.

My m6 is wrapped and has ceramic coating on top. It's alpine white with a Satin Grey/color flip wrap.. if there are scratches/rock chips to the wrap then the white shows underneath; so it's better to wrap light colors on light, dark on dark in my opinion… If the wrap is severely damaged then there's always the option to re-wrap only that panel or do an "overlay." It will not damage the paint underneath, then again that depends on the shop and the vinyl. 3M and Avery being the better choices on the market. |
