I got the new paddle shifters today and it worked . I'm really happy with my purchase. For anyone who want to do this. It's easy, only takes around 30 mins. Everything is plug and play ( I assumed that you have Auto with paddle shifters). Here are the parts you need: multifunction buttons (61317849406), paddle shifters (61317847210), back cover (32307848270) (M6 steering wheel only and have paddle shifters), harness (32307848332) ( this should includes heated, lane departure and paddle shifters. You can use it even if you don't have all of them), set of screws (32307848333), airbag (32307845798) and M6 steering wheel of your choice. The cheapest place that I recommended is getbmwparts.com. The process is simple. First, you will have to assembly the steering wheel. The harness is easy to connect since if it is wrong you can't plug it in. It does not matter how you plug in the paddle shifters, as long as the part number is correct, it will work the right way. Before you remove the steering wheel, unplug the battery negative in the trunk ( nothing need to be disassembly, just lift the mat, you will see it). This video will guide you how to remove the steering wheel. . Assembly is just a reverse process. It's costly but you will be happy . The total cost for me is a little more than 2k. Good luck.
P.S: I'm not the one who make the video. Last edited by boyhamdzui; 09-25-2015 at 04:42 PM.. |
