I messed around with several grills on my space gray 5. I didn't like chrome with SG. I had the bezels painted to match the body and inserted the gloss black louvers and it looked great. Only problem was paint chips on the bezels so I eventually went all black.

I went with the BMW grills. I wanted gloss black to match the shadowline and didn't want the M6 style double slats. I don't mind the slats on these because they are more of a black chrome finish than bright chrome. I've also got some painted reflectors on the way but Turners got back ordered for another week, and having the roof, fender/door handle chrome pieces done in gloss black.

Double slat
I ordered the gloss black logo delete double slat grille. It's a two piece unit. I took the chrome lip and put it with the black double slats. Came out killer.

That is a fantastic idea ! Contemplating whether to go with gloss or matt? In addition, whether should I keep the chrome lip or change the 2 pieces to black? Exterior is tanzanite blue...

Here they are on my car. I felt the M6 logo was too much on the stock ones, so these new ones leave the grills nice and clean...

Thanks! I got my grills from TrinityAutosport. They are the only vendor I use for all the parts on my BMW's. They are a vendor on here -- contact Nerwyll or Joe. Joe is the owner -- Nerwyll is the manager. They'll get them for you and their pricing and service is top notch!

I went with BMW's black and chrome grille on my GC, and I really like how it turned out. In fact, I thought I was getting an all-black grille, so I was a bit disappointed at first. However, once I installed it, I liked that it had the chrome slats. My previous F10 was completely blacked out (Alpine white with zero chrome anywhere, and black wheels), and while I liked that look, I am really liking how my GC looks with the OEM wheels and just a bit of chrome. I did lay vinyl over the ugly yellow side markers, though.

Don't you think the plate properly mounted in front will look a lot better than using the tow hook? I realize you are poking holes in your bumper, but it is kind of like putting plastic on your furniture -yea, it still looks great 4 years later under the plastic, but you had to stare at the plastic for 4 years.

Well, to be clear, just because it is not my style, does not mean it is bad or wrong! Carry on
