Brake Judder & Refurbed Wheels
Now I have not had my 20's refurbed yet, although reading around I have heard some stories of users suffering with brake judder following having wheels refurbed (I am well aware of keeping the mounting area clean and free from anything dirt and more specifically any form of paint).
But having read around it seems some people have still had problems with BMW refusing to replace under warranty when brake judder has occurred because apparently the wheel distributes some of the residual heat away from the disc. Has anyone had their 373's refurbed and had issues such as the above? |

never heard or had this problem from any wheels/repaired wheels. if the rim is bent or not true, you will get shimmy or judder at or above certain speeds all the time. usually brake judder or shimming under braking is caused by warped rotors. just make sure the tape off the back pad.

They are going to be refurbed professionally and I will check the mounting pad to ensure it has nothing on.
Reason for this thread originally is there is the odd report where BMW have blamed refurbed wheels on brake judder caused by warped discs (or rotors for the US lot if I must). |
