Will 788m wheels fit 2016 650i gc

Hi all, first post to a forum go easy on me.

I bought a used 2016 650i with very low miles. Test drove the car and loved it. After driving on some rougher roads closer to home I have grown to hate the ride. When I hit a pothole it sounds like the car is going to break.

I currently have the stock RF tires on m373 20 " rims. I wanted to go with 19" rims to get a little more sidewall, will also be going to non RF.

I did a bunch of reading, looking at my car and comparing on 1010tires.com along with tire size calculator.

I got my hands on some OE 788m wheels(specs below). Does anyone know if these will fit?

Would also appreciate any input on tire size. Seems like everyone is happy with the continential dws06+ so figured I'd go with those.

I assume you have confirmed the center bore hole size is the same? So just looking at your wheel on the left, it is one inch wider, which means it will sit 1/2" closer to your suspension parts (1" wider, but 1/2" on each side of the wheel centerline). But its offset is only 4mm less, or about 1/6th of an inch, so the lesser offset will only compensate for part of the increased width. In total, the new setup will sit about 3/8" closer to your suspension. I assume that will be fine, but look under there and see how close your tire is now. Otherwise, you'd need thin spacers. The other wheel is pretty much the same difference.

Update, they fit!

However, they just don't look right. I won't be keeping these

How do you feel about the change to 19” non runflat tires? Did the change in tire size & type give you a better driving dynamic that you were looking for?

I didn't leave the tires on long enough to find out. I'm thinking I'll be swapping the RFs to contenential dsw 06+ on the stock wheels.

You can't go wrong with those stock wheels. I would save myself some money and switch to non-RFT, maybe run a little less pressure, and even switch to comfort+ on the bad roads. Another option is to go +5 on the sidewall, so use 245/40/20 and 275/35/20. That gives you the same size sidewall as the 19s without messing with your speedo/odometer too much. Speedo will actually be more accurate as they read a little high by design.
