The "square" setup from the factory used the 8.5" at all four corners. The 9" was for the rear of "staggered" cars like yours. The 9" has a 44 mm offset. The 8.5 has a 33 mm offset. If the offsets were the same, the 9" would sit 1/4" closer to your suspension up front (1/2" wider, but half of that is on each side of the wheel centerline). But the greater offset of the 9" - by nearly 1/2" (11mm) means it will sit even closer - nearly 3/4". I doubt you have that much clearance to your struts. So while there may be a 9" that will work, I don't think yours will. Try one and see.

They will fit perfectly if they have the correct offset. I see from the ad you posted that these come in a wide range of offsets. What is offset they are recommending for your front?

The guy told me that they would be custom drilled at the factory for the 640. He assured me that the offset would match as well. I think the stock wheel offset for my car is 33 front and 44 rear.
