Driver’s Transition Lenses?

Has anybody bought ‘driver’s transition’ sun glasses? How are they? Worth it?

Hello - I have had drivewear glasses for over a decade. They are amazing. I have blue eyes, but the glasses get dark enough for me even with the top down in sun. Why "amazing," then? Because you can actually leave them on (accidentally, or on purpose) and then go indoors and see nearly perfectly, if a bit dark - for example, driving to a store, you can definitely leave them on and read price tags, labels, etc. Very, very unlike sunglasses, which mostly will not let you do that. You can also use them as if they are true sunglasses (in my experience), for example, driving with the top down to a ball game. No need to change. Be sure to ask the optician (or do your research carefully) to make sure your drivewear lenses will darken even behind glass. If they do not, then they are not drivewear. There are a few variations out there - my advice would be to avoid the ones that get "dark and darker," instead opting for the ones that get less dark. Why? So you can leave them on when the bright sky begins to dim, say, in the late afternoon. I have had the XTRActive lenses and did not like them - too dark for me. It is probably a personal decision. But I swear by them. (Can you tell?) Hope this helps!
