Doesn’t look good for Machado, and Harper. Owners finally realize long term contracts just don’t work out. Curious to see if Washington will still offer Harper 10/$300m. Also a lot of free agents unsigned, with spring training around the corner.

Since the Knicks have just cleared cap space for two max free agents, they are now in the frontline to sign both Harper and Machado.

Evan Longoria should look at his numbers And ask himself if he's worth the money he's getting now. He made a comment that " fans shouldn't worry, it's not their money." Really... Hmmm, and you want to know why long term contracts are not being offered. Also, look at Chris Davis from the Oriole's, and there are many others.

Heck even Dallas Keuchel is still available. Yankees won’t get him but I think the Mets should. He’ll be a solid #3 and then the Mets would have the best 1-2-3 punch in baseball.

I would like to see Gio Gonzalez in the Bronx. CC's health is concerning.

Eventually CC would need to be replaced. Don’t forget about Jordan Monty but he won’t be a factor till Aug/Sept (that would be his Spring Training). 2020 would be more realistic for him to fight for a starting spot.

Gio would be OK, no issues with that.

Yankees laying in the weeds , wouldn’t be surprised if they swooped in and grabbed a big fa last minute since there not getting the money / years they thought they would. Don’t think they need one but I’m still skeptical about Tulowitzki and staying healthy! I’m super excited for the season and can’t wait for it to start and get nicer weather coming around!

I share your sentiment. The only FA I would like the Yankees to sign is Gio Gonzalez. I think Tulo is a nice addition. Yes, he’s always hurt, but I personally could tell you, he’s worked hard to get back on the field, and he wanted to play in New York. New York is going to like his humble personality. All the best Tulo, your going to be fine.

I hope Tulo is ok and if we got 80% offensively of what he use to be and great defense I’ll take it!! That guy has always wanted to be a Yankee, just like his idol DJ , but then again what young SS didn’t idolize Jeter!

Believe me, Tulo worked very hard to get back on the field. I just hope he could stay healthy. He’s a great guy.

So glad he didn’t go to the Yankees. Let the Padres stay in the NL West cellar for the next five years until he opts out.

Phillies are now pressured to signed Bryce as if you remember they wanted to spend ‘stupid money’. $350M for Harper?!

SD Padres are fools. I guess SD will go from 66 wins, to 75. California is a laid back state. So Machado will fit right in. No need to hustle, show up to the ballpark whenever he feels like it, and play in front of about 18,000 fans a night. Sounds like this contract is going to work out just fine.

They should as either big boi, Malaka and/or Paxton will eventually head to the DL or whatever it is they call it now.

F30lolz you make me laugh. Paack, and Malaka, pretty funny. It’s going to be interesting to see what Harper gets. I think he’s overrated. Good player, however, to me, not a big deal. Kimbrel wants $100m, he must be smoking on the back of the duck boats.
