Any B6 owners? Is this fan noise or power steering?
Test drove a 2015 B6 Was very pleasantly surprised by the car. However after a short but spirited run ending on the highway I heard a small wrrrrrrr noise similar to that of a expiring power steering rack or rack and pinion low in fluid. It changed tune and volume as I move the steering wheel right and left. The salesman of course tried to claim it was due to engine fan. Is this normal for the B6? Car is without warranty <40k only 48k miles.

The n63TU can make noises after shut down...especially the coolant systems (yes systems as in multiple). The two DMEs have a "charge air" cooling system as well as the turbos & engine cooling system. The (3) electric auxiliary pump can be heard running and some of them may continue to run for a short period of time...even after the engine has been shut down to help dissipate heat. Not being there with you...it's impossible to tell if that is what you may have heard or not.
