Congratulations. Sounds like a great combination of colors and equipment.
My dealer won't take a deposit until he gets the options list and can input the order--I want a coupe.

Yeah, I think it's the coupe that remains a mystery-delivery-date prospect.
Did you order the M package? Full LED lighting is part of that package, but I don't think it is part of the early delivery orders.

I called the 1-800 number driving to work this morning and confirmed my car was completed today. Happy birthday!
As I exited the freeway to get to work, my e93 went into limp-home mode and I got the engine warning light and some info on the screen telling me power was reduced (and boy was it) but that I could still drive it. Might be the HPFP. Then again, maybe my car heard its replacement is on the way and got jealous. |

Anybody know about an on-sale-date? I talked to the dealership Thursday and they hadn't heard anything about holding up our cars at the VPC for an official on-sale-date.
However, they did say that the feds were still waiting for the first F12 to arrive at the VPC to confirm emissions or something. One of the guys said it can take 30 days from the time the feds get their hands onto the first car until the car can be released to customers Hopefully they already have the first car stateside and the process is underway. The dealership had a demo coming 3 weeks or so before mine, so maybe it won't be an issue. At least for me. Not sure about Aaron. |

XRayMD,
The production number I have been given is a seven digit number, and the BMW site cannot digest it and give me my vehicle's info/arrival date. Was yours a seven digit number? I can't help but think I am lacking a prefix or a suffix or something that would give me access to the info. Thanks.

No, it should be a 7 digit number. Mine took a day or two before it worked. The website is usually a little behind. For the latest info, call 1-800-831-1117. Say " vehicle production status," and then, after the prompt, you can say the numbers or punch it in with your keypad. I'm currently calling once a day, but that will end this week when I get on a boat.

You're going to love this: "Your vehicle is scheduled for production. No production date has been established yet."

Hey, at least your number works!
Just kidding. It won't change status now until a week or so before production starts. I checked the Friday before spring break and got the same thing as you. Came back a week later and I was already in the paint shop. Last edited by xraymd; 04-11-2011 at 07:22 PM.. |
