You checked your oil for any signs of emulsion?
Admittedly my warning light came on the other day and the reservoir was much lower than the low indicator in the bottle. Not started to investigate where the coolant had gone - I'm hopeful it's just a little evaporation over time but even for that to be true it would imply there is some point for Steam to escape.
