You con check for power to the clutch at connector X13-1B
This is the connector to the magnetic clutch (see Y1)
You can also check the resistance on the clutch coil at this point to assure continuity through the coil.

So I pulled up the cover as described and it's very different from the pictures. Ummm help lol
