I'd have to check the difference...but from my fuzzy memory...the EQ selection is the same for both. My 2013 F06 has the CIC iDrive & "un-named" HK system and it has an EQ w/surround sound selection. My 2014 F15 X5 has the HK system...and the NBT iDrive which has the same EQ selection with a check box for surround sound, too.


EDIT: I found some images in my pic stash of the CIC/iDrive's EQ selections and the EQ selections are the same...the wording is a little bit different on the latter NBT version...but the difference is miniscule:
