Perhaps worth noting that the Mercedes has a long wheel base in comparison to other teams...benefits in having more area to generate more downforce....good also for medium and high speed corners, but at the expense of making the car more reluctant to turn in for sharper turns.
Seems like Red Bull for instance have resisted going with a similar long wheel and have stuck with their short wheel base high rake car.
