Ok, got back to these tonight. I’d rank them Clynelish 14, followed by Talisker 10, and lastly the Caol Ila 12.

The Caol Ila was just typical peaty smoke that kind of beats you over the head. Great if thats what you’re looking for.

The Clynelish and to a lesser degree the Talisker, there’s peat and smoke, but its woven through the other flavor profiles a bit more. It’s more interesting and complex. I’m partial to the Clynelish because it’s on the sweeter side, hints of orange peel and citrus and layered with the peat, which is less on the nose and more the flavor.

The Talisker is equally smoky on the nose and on the mouth.
