My first BMW was a leased 2014 335i, black sapphire metallic. I LOVED that car, and I would have kept it at lease end if the buyout hadn't been hopelessly inflated relative to market value.
Now I am in another lease, an Estoril blue 440xi Gran Coupe. It's fine (and beautiful to look at), but I don't love it the way I loved that black 335i.
I am now shopping again - and this time around, I will be purchasing. I have decided leasing isn't for me; I don't like the enforced time constraints. Like that first one, I wanted to keep... whereas this one, I had fallen out of love with by last year, but again am upside down in the lease, so there has been no financially rational exit. So... next up will be my first real purchase: an M240xi coupe.
