The weird and wonderful things you discover when conducting an exam. Like the one we had, who complained of hearing loss. Both my colleague and I could not see her tympanic membrane. We did a warm water lavage and out came a compacted wad of cotton balls. She had complained to her own doctor of an ear infection but we can only "guesstimate" that he/she forgot to tell he to remove them after each treatment...And the things we find in other cavities....  |
