So, I have considering this car: https://www.motorwerks.com/searchuse...e=BMW&Model=M6

I expect I would keep it 4 or 5 years and put about 20k miles on it. I have several concerns, or questions.

1. Given the age and mileage of the car (2013 with 33k miles) should I expect any major repairs in the time frame and mileage I mentioned?

2. I have always had bad luck buying cars from Chicago area dealers. The cars usually have low mileage, but have had hard lives with Chicago streets and traffic. Is asking for a PPI a common practice for a BMW?

3. Is anyone familiar with this car or dealer and can offer any comments?

Thanks.
Hi ! I've just purchased a 2014 640d M Sport Convertible (F12) in the UK with 67k miles - it's a diesel and generally as long it's serviced regularly then it will purr into the 100k miles plus quite happily ! Guess the petrol (gas!) version will be different - that being said my main concern is not the mechanics but it's so full of tech and gadgets that I suspect these will cause problems first !

I think this car will be a perfect fit for your requirements - I switch from Eco mode when on motorways and switch to sport whilst spinning round country lanes

I ended up getting mine from a specialist dealer - I looked at the main BMW dealerships but each car I looked had "problems" after they did the pre-sales inspection. IMHO specialist dealers will sell good cars but you'll have less come back if anything goes wrong whereas main dealerships will just flip trade-ins but you'll have a better warranty etc.

If you have any other questions etc. just let me know!
