I am also from Galway, nice knowing someone from Galway after all these years in this forum.
I settled for 2016 with 60k km, I am getting the car from Joe Duffy Dublin, hopping the 2-year BMW warranty will take care of any nasty surprises.
I wonder is your car a black or carbon black, I see one often in town near the Cathedral a 151 grand coupe, I also sometimes see a black Coupe.

I have my 2015 a year now and no major issues.
Few suspension issues when I got it so replaced control arms and added a eibach pro 12 kit. Suspension felt really soft to me. Bottoming out going over speed bumps. Not sure if that is normal or were just worn.
In garage at moment getting full service and gearbox service (80k miles)
Saw some nightmare stories about water drain issues and yellow grommet - loads on internet if you google it, so they're checking out the drains for me as well
