Comp exhaust on that year has 2 dimples at the mufflers instead of 3. the muffler is basically a large resonator for the Comp exhaust while the non comp has a bend inside. It's minor but it does make the Comp louder. There's a thread on here somewhere that someone posted a cross section cut of both side by side.
