I didn't know what it was for (and my service advisor never explained it) but now I know it's related to this recall.

Interesting just had my 2020 m340 in for an unrelated issue. SA told me oh there is a DME recall. He only said "they updating the whole system " never mentioned breaks.🤔 |
When you program with ista, it will update any ECU that isn't at the latest software level. Sometimes, it's only one or two, other times it's 15 or so
