I haven't read a good book in a really long time
I don't know what happened, I've been so disappointed with anything new from my usual go to authors - James Patterson, Michael Connelly, David Balducci, Nelson DeMille, Lee Child to name a few. I either can't get through them, or read just to read with no interest at all. One of my all time favorites, Vince Flynn, died a few years back and the writer that picked up where he left off just doesn't have it.
I really enjoy Greg Iles. Every one of his books has been a great read. He goes years in between books. I don't know how I missed this one. It's a stand alone. I also see that he is working on the next in the Penn Cage series. I pre-ordered it.
Wish me luck, I need books for poolside. I hope this one breaks the pattern.
