^ what he said. If you’ll be eating and drinking at the resort often then the difference of $100 a day seems fair to me. I did my first few AI resorts in Mexico last few months and they were worth it. There’s food available anytime I wanted it. I like to chill and explore just a few hours of the day vs being out from sunrise to sunset so it fits.
Make sure you book a place with good food though. The cheaper ones have just okay food and you might end up eating out a lot anyway which defeats the purpose. OTOH, don’t book such an expensive place that you feel the need to always be at the resort to eat and drink. It’s a balance.
