The car starts and runs but just complains about a lot of stuff. I have no power steering so driving it is like is driving a tractor at the moment.
You can see the multiple POSITIVE battery connections that sit atop the battery:

And as someone mentioned above...you can easily (and not that expensive) register your battery using the Bimmerlink app and an appropriate OBD II dongle (that you can also use to use Bimmercode app). Just open the app, plug in the OBD dongle and go to the battery registration section...BOOM...your done in less than a minute.
