I've no idea what spec the US lights will have, but I posed the question of driving my UK registered M6 in Europe to BMW UK. They informed me that since my car has flat 'z' beams, no adjustment is required when driving on the 'other side of the road'.

So, if you've just bought UK spec lights, I'd have to ask what reprogramming was actually needed...? Plug 'n' go?
