OK Lem, based on the leak of what is being billed the next 2-series fully un-camouflaged, I am ready to concede I WAS WRONG.
In reviewing the leaked photos - if in fact the next 2-series - I still could not reconcile how the 'gap' existed between the taillight and trunk line if the taillight extended into the trunk line (e.g., as with the F87)?
You suggested there was a camo plate over the inner third, which simply did not make sense to me. I now realize there was not only a camo plate over the inner third, but another camo plate over the outer two-thirds. . . giving that 'gap' appearance.
I have no idea why BMW would go to such extremes to hide a taillight, but is appears they did.
