I went through this, specifically wanted a crew cab 6.2l Gen 1 Raptor. Well, with everything going on I compromised. My budget was around $20,000, which if you know the Raptor market - it doesn't get you very far.

I ended up finding an old-man owned 09' Silverado 1500 Crew with a TVS1900 blower. Less than half of what I was originally planning on spending, it worked out for me.

I think a Raptor is in the future but you should look at all your options. From a depreciation aspect the Raptor is the obvious choice. Depending on your driving habits, truck use, etc then a K2XX or T1XX might be a better option. I have friends with Ram 1500's who really enjoy them as well.
