I'm speaking purely for myself and my experience. I live in the Minneapolis area where snow, ice and massive potholes rule the day, I've had my f06 xDrive for 2.5 years and I drive it year round 30K a year. I have replaced 7 tires all randomly from various punctures and blowouts (one just this past week) I have seen no negative issues.
