The locking bolts sound great, but they are a pia. a Good shoop isn't even slowed by them. The gorilla on the gun either uses a tool designed to tear into these and unscrew, or they hammer on a disposable socket. I have even heard of these guys not ever bothering with the key and just using the tool on them. Most shops that see a nice new BMW won't let apes near them, but that's what they do to the Corollas of the world.
Cause for it is the torque. These are supposed to be torqued relatively lightly, but nobody wants a wheel to fall out, so they max out their guns every time.
