I have an extended warranty up to 100k and I just hit 79k, and i noticed white smoke coming from engine and tailpipes indicative of an oil leak. Dropped car off at Bimmer Performance Center in NC and they found about 6 oil leaks and some coolant leaks. I asked if my spirited driving contributed to this and while he assured he that it was minor influence and that these engines generate a lot if heat contributing to the destruction of seals over time. I will know shortly how good my extended warranty is and what they will cover...
