The stock wheels have a 19mm offset and people often put 10-15mm spacers on them to bring them out further to fit the guard better. I'd recommend you look to do 15mm spacers on the wheels, however as the suspension is the same between the M5 and M6 there won't be any clearance issues if you just want to bolt them straight on.
