Bryan - We are all waiting for a DIY guide for the grill replacement. I bought mine the same day i bought my car last friday (4.29.2013) and i have yet to get it replace.
I know that there's a F30 DIY which you have to remove some Torx screws and some rubber and then using some flat head screwdriver to release the clips from the bumper. The process is tedious. But another F30 drive use a Hose Remover and a flash light tool to remove the grilles. Only took like 5 minutes. He used the tool by accessing the clips from inside (between grill blades) and with a flash light he separate each individual clip from the bumper.
Go run to HomeDepot and buy this $7 tool and let us know if it works.
