I placed my order towards the end of January, and finally after three months of waiting (which is the longest i have ever waited for a new BMW, and i have had a few over the years!) my car has finally arrived.
This is car No5 with this dealer and they were excellent, from the moment i ordered the car they kept me updated every couple of weeks and once the car went into production they provided a daily update and screen dumps of the status.
The only minor negative was my car was not ready in March as promised when i ordered the car, however this was due to factory scheduling which the dealer could not control. With my previous purchases the dealer was able to request a pull forward order, However on this occasion this method was not effective due to the promotion BMW UK ran during Q1 for 6 series model. I understand the popularity of this specific deal meant BMW could not fulfil the orders within the normal timescales, thus the delay.
I still went ahead and sold my 535d M Sport in March, and my dealer very kindly provided me with a loan car (320d M Sport Coupe and F30 320d Sport)for the last 6 weeks.
My new car is still awaiting PDI etc... but i visited the dealer yesterday to take a look. Delivery will be later this week, i can't wait....
