Just some FYI for the general population...its not that the remote fob with the ///M colors on the side is a "newer" version of the fob...it's just a different design that was available. It's not old vs new...but regular fob vs MSport fob.
For instance...the fob that was pictured was the fob that was offered on some of the F & G chassis X models (X1/X2/X3/X4/X5/X6) if it came with the
MSport option pkg...which means that this fob was being used at the same time that the f06/f12/f13 was in production.
You can see the fob (#2) in the illustration and link below to other models that used it. So if anyone was looking to get one that can hopefully get converted...this may help in your search for a blank remote.
