Yeah, it just depends on what level of perfection you are looking for. For a car you just got, I know that drives you nuts. I'm sure I'd bite the bullet and get it painted. But wet sanding, if you know what you are doing, can be a miracle even on clear coat scratches you can easily catch your fingernail in, so long as they are not to the paint. My car was perfect except behind the gas cap it looked like a lion scratched it - a bunch of deep clear coat scratches in an area about the size of softball. All were deep enough to easily catch my fingernail. I used a small hard foam sanding block and used 800, 1200, 1500, 2000 and 2500 grit paper in that order. By the time you get to 2500, the paint starts to have a satin sheen and it buffs out easily with a Porter Cable DA buffer and foam pad using Meguires M105. My scratches are absolutely 100% gone. I can tell some of yours are too deep and are through the clear coat, but I bet they would be 80% gone with the above method.
