This thread has intrigued me enough to head out and see what the ethanol content in the fuels I have access to. I religiously run BP 93 in my car as it's the highest octane available without being cost prohibitive. Does anyone know what the ethanol content in BP's 93 octane is? Is it just E10 or is it less? I have seen some mentions in Google searches of it possibly being lower.
Conversely, does anyone know what the true ethanol content of E85 from Speedway or Holiday is? It's stated that the content can be between 51% and 83% but I'm sure it varies based on the 'brand'. Also the octane content available in the E85 at these stations. Can't seem to find this info anywhere and want to make sure I'm putting in the right ratios to stay under 20% ethanol in the tank
