Great thread as it spurred fun thoughts on one more car to dream about.
Done with mine. BUT want one more to round to 8. Will retire in 5 years and then spend most of my time working on them and driving them up and down the wonderful North Georgia geography.
Want: 911 GT3 (had one on deposit several years ago but got distracted with life).
- 19 GT-R :new experiences here, seating position reminds me of the MR2 Turbo, acceleration reminds me...well that is a new experience.
- 17 M2 - perfect for the roads around here. Love the burbling sounds while downshifting
- 07 Exige S - uses the Japanese oil filters from the MR2 Turbos which I love since I have several dozen filters in supply.
- 07 S2000 - Mr. Reliable
- E46 M3 - 03 and 05 - with the right tires- so much fun on the mountain roads!
- 02 M Coupe - S54 and a hoot to drive.
- MR2 Turbo - first car out of college and found/fixed up 3 more last 25+ years, replacement used engines are reasonably priced.
Those are in the garages. A 17 WRX serves as daily.
Thanks for letting me share. I was trying to figure out what to do today and this process motivated to go up the mountain roads hunting for that elusive GT2 RS again. I see it, and then poof- gone again. The driver has no fear.
