Data shows that 64% of new BMW buyers are male, compared to 36% female. The variation in the mix of male to female buyers across the different new BMW models is very small.

Next, if you drill down to look for a body style that tends to skew higher for female buyers...like the BMW SUV/SAV...the male/female ratio changes very little. These models...the X1 on the low end up to the top-of-the-line X7...the buyers are 60% male and 40% female.

In regards to the forum...who knows. What we do know (by looking at the VIEWS vs the REPLIES)...the majority of forum members are "silent"...and its the minority that is "vocal" and engage in the discourse. For example, as of this post, there have been 414 views of this thread since it originally posted approx 2 months ago. But only 4 people have actually engaged in the thread's discourse. And 1 of the 4 is the original poster.
