My M6 GC is 2 years old, ca. 23,000 miles, and basically doesn't burn oil. I broke it in as advised for the first 1200 miles, not much above 100 mph, no full throttle, tried to vary throttle and speed at first (easy to do for the first several hundred miles, as I was on winding rural roads in Bavaria).
No idea whether it's because of the breakin or just luck.
