I have owned an S52, 2-S54, 3-S65s and now an S63. Only my S65s burned oil, and between the three, only 1 had an every 1,000 mile thirst. Since I only bu used, I have to pin the issue on break-in as being the most likely culprit, either too hard or too soft.
