That's pretty bad and as you say it shouldn't be that hard to get it right. I bought a cheap £285 set of downpipes from MTC Motorsport and they fitted perfectly with no modifications or modding required.
I say they were cheap but £285 for 2x foot long stainless steel pipes is not cheap which is why I refused to pay the silly prices some of the big names are trying to charge.
