Moore was however their first pick over Connery. Maybe he was cast for more films because I. Fleming felt Moore was perfect for the role.

I saw sometimes a discussion about the overall behaviour of the played Bonds according to treatment to women, and Connery and Moore came away very badly. Even 007 is fictional though, they never ask the women into the films if they like it to get touched and so on and even they complained about that, they got kissed and the other stuff.
Well, this isnt to ruin the thread, but this was one of the reasons to change the manners Bond would act to femals actresses. Connery and Moore were more dinosaurs of their gentlemens way so this had maybe also lead to a actors change.
Brosnan was my favorite Bond and the decision to change the whole show with Craig was a little disturbing for me, nevertheless, Casino Royale was for my personal taste one of the best Bonds ever.
For female Bonds I would prefer Cameron Diaz or Anne Hathaway.
