I did not tap into the fuse panel (yet). Presently, it is plugged into the accessory outlet under the glovebox. This location works just fine, and at this time I am ok with parking mode operation being very limited. I typically park in my garage or at work which has an armed guard and double security gate. If anything happens in the parking lot at work, I have bigger things to worry about.
The reason that I have not hardwired it yet is that this camera is quite new. The hardwire kit is not yet available on Amazon, though it is available on another site (pre-order), so I may go that route.
The fuse box which I will use is the one behind the glovebox. There are several spares available (both mini and normal sizes). The routing of the cable for the accessory outlet versus the Fuse box is nearly identical.
