The reason I am asking this question is that a few years back, I replaced just the pads on my 4 series GC and the brakes squealed from that point forward, and I was told by the garage that changed them that you must change the discs as well when replacing pads as squealing will most likely happen if you do not change them both at the same time.
Is that correct or was the garage trying to do unnecessary work?
Thanks
