With pre-cut kits there is no need to use a razor/olfa blade to trim material. The kits are made to fit the car. If someone "bulks" and install there may be minor cutting required, for example on a hood, many installers bulk install because its easier and gives optimal coverage. Then they'll trim the excess and wrap the edges
