Doesn't seem like OP is gonna do that.... I was able to take a look when this was posted. In short, basically it's the silver Y shaped trim that's on your steering wheel. I kinda figured that out too in the past 2 years as when it rattles, I hold it down really tight... and the noise stops.
So.... what the OP did was take the horn off and open the steering like you were replace the button. Then do whatever you need to do to stiffen, or pad the mounting points of that silver Y shape trim.
