@uddinsa, I think that's very reasonable offer from BMWUK and reassuring for UK M6 owners at least. I seem to recall that the forum member from the US, whose engine suffered a similar fate, had considerably more difficulty in securing an acceptable outcome.
The warranty on my car has just expired and I've taken out a warranty on major components. Hopefully I won't need it.
