They are illegal in California and I don't run across them much at all. With that said, I use LIDAR. If for whatever reason the speed is coming back weird or I'm getting some other malfunction, my visual estimation is enough. Training requirements mandate that I can visually estimate speed +/- 5 MPH. I can do that accurately allllllll day long. |
